Our cottages are located near Langholm, in the picturesque Eskdale Valley, at the heart of the Scottish Borders. We offer self-catering accommodation throughout the year, with many beautiful walks among the hills and over a mile of fishing on the River Esk.

Burnfoot Holiday Cottages offers self-catering accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Borders. We have four cottages, catering for various groups - whether fishing alone, enjoying a romantic getaway or meeting up with friends for a hiking holiday.
Langholm and The Scottish Borders
The holiday cottages of our countryside retreat offer quiet and nature with opportunities for walkers, fishermen and cyclists. However, nearby Langholm has its own rich history to enjoy, and is well located between Carlisle and Edinburgh with public transport links. History
Burnfoot House and the associated cottages have an illustrious history. Not only was it the residence of the Malcolm Family, self-proclaims Knights of Eskdale, but it has hosted many communities and lives throughout its history. It is now a well-loved home, with cottages available for guests to enjoy holidays, fishing and activity trips. Find out more about on our History page.
